       So, Why do we restrict people in our domain?

                   What they can’t touch, they can’t break.

                             What they can’t break, we don’t have to fix.

                                      Give people what they need to do their job. Keep disruptions to a minimum

       Personal Growth/Exploration:

                        ** Network -        Work within your realm and abilities (we already have one person to officially

screw things up)

                   ** Local Machine, Applications, Devices – Explore, expand, take chances

*Tech Quick Guide to Troubleshooting:

                    

1)      Documentation is your friend.

2)      The more tools you have in your toolbox, the better you are.

3)      VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY!!!!

4)      Did I mention VERIFY!

5)      When something goes wrong, here is the general order of suspicion:

a.       Basic cables, power cords, power buttons, plugs….

b.      USER

c.       NETWORK

d.      SOFTWARE

e.       MACHINE

6)      Workarounds are a solution.

7)      Don’t try to explain the unexplainable…..computer gremlins exist.
